Showing his respect towards the black community.
The influence that Ali had on history will forever be felt  for as long as equality in the U.S. is sill in check. His actions from throwing his medal into the Ohio river, to his refusal to enter the Vietnam War draft, to speaking to thousands of Muslims each of which over time grew more and more influential in the movement for Civil Rights. His role during that time was to be a spokesperson for every African American in the U.S. also a person of peace between the U.S. and Vietnam. His actions had changed the Social status of African Americans throughout the country especially the southern states this also helped influence the political aspect of the countries rights. Overall, this experience changed the whole definition of a "free man" in the country of freedom other wise known as America.
